A former pastor, he has worked as an editor in the publishing industry for fifteen years (NavPress, David C. Cook, Waterbrook Multnomah) and now serves as a literary agent with The Bindery. John is a poet and creative non-fiction writer. In addition to ghostwriting for notable figures and publishing essays for numerous outlets, he has written The Jubilee: Poems; Know When to Hold ‘Em; Touching Wonder; and All is Grace: A Ragamuffin Memoir (with Brennan Manning).

Steve is the author of over a dozen books and guides including The Lazarus Life, The Jesus Life, Soul Custody, Embracing Soul Care, SOLO: Creating Space with God, and the brand new 30 Days with the Potter. He is a spiritual director, host of the podcast Soul Care Conversations, and co-founder of Potter’s Inn. He aspires to write more poetry!
