Stephen W. Smith: Co-Founder, President and Spiritual Director of Potter’s Inn Ministry. Educated at Lenoir Rhyne College, NC, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, KY; Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, IL. Steve has pastored churches in KY, NC and the Netherlands. As a speaker, spiritual director, author and companion, Steve offers soul care and spiritual direction through sessions and his published resources. Steve is married to Gwen and has four adult sons and two daughters-in -law. His dog, Laz is a constant companion. Steve enjoys a cup of strong brewed coffee and a brisk walk on a trail near his home in Colorado Springs, CO.

Gwen Harding Smith: Co-Founder of Potter’s Inn. Educated at UNC in Nursing and Denver Seminary, CO. Gwen is a Registered Nurse and Spiritual Director. She is a retreat leader for women and offers spiritual direction and soul care. Married to Steve since 1980, and mother to four “men children” and two of their wives as daughters! Gwen enjoys dark, roasted, French Press coffee and a piece of dark chocolate in the afternoons.

David's PortraitDavid Sachsenmaier: Counselor – Spiritual Director, Vice President of Ministry Development. David and his wife Margaret moved to Colorado Springs in 2009 with their six children. They are both graduates of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and David also has a Masters in Divinity with a concentration in counseling. He has spent the last 25 years working in both banking and full-time pastoral and counseling ministries in the US, France and the UK.  As a certified spiritual director, David helps lead retreats, meets with individuals and couples in Colorado Springs for counseling and spiritual direction and leads our new vocational ministry called Vocation Care.  He loves spending time with his family, the great outdoors of Colorado and quality time with friends.

Dustin's PortraitDustin Hibbard: Ministry Associate, Soul Care Provider Apprentice, Director of Marketing. Dustin and his wife Natalie met at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago in 1998. They are both graduates with emphasis in foreign missions. Dustin completed his training at Moody Aviation in 2003 as a Pilot/Mechanic. They served with International Teams in Mobilization for two years coordinating short-term missionaries worldwide until God called them to Alaska. There they served for six years with Arctic Barnabas Ministries providing pastoral care and support to missionaries and pastors throughout remote Alaska until January 2013. Dustin and Natalie have moved to Colorado recently with their three children to join our team. Dustin is working along side us daily to host and care for guests at Potter’s Inn while learning the depths of Soul Care. He will be continuing his higher education soon to become a future Soul Care Provider and Spiritual Director. Dustin is also helping Potter’s Inn network through marketing and social media to raise awareness of our mission and services to leaders and the Church. When not at the Inn, you might find Dustin tinkering with this love of aviation, shooting photographs, or hiking a mountain trail with his family.

Lisa Langford PortraitLisa Langford: Assistant to Steve Smith. Lisa and her husband Erik met at Northwestern Bible College and after marrying and living in the beautiful PNW, moved to Divide in 1996. They have three older children, who are their favorite people in the whole world. Lisa’s background is in coordinating corporate study groups, along with event and meeting planning across the US including some off-shore. She serves Potter’s Inn as Steve’s primary assistant and helps keep all of us organized and on top of things. If you call Potter’s Inn, Lisa might be the first person you talk to; and if you’re looking for a special place to have a wedding, she would be happy to tell you how Potter’s Inn can acommodate your special day! “I love to travel, but to come back to this little pocket of beauty named Divide never gets old. I’m thrilled that Potter’s Inn has now made their home up here as well, sharing this treasure with even more people.”

RebekahRebekah Ormord: Bookkeeper. Rebekah does a great job processing all the donations and financial paperwork that come through Potter’s Inn. Educated at Manhattan Christian College in Kansas. Rebekah has worked in both ministry as well as the business world. She is married to Adam, who is a Worship Pastor at a local church,  and has three boys and one girl at home. She enjoys all outdoor activities, especially hiking and bicycling. She loves any type of coffee and tea but especially Peppermint Mochas during the holiday season.

Adjunct Staff: Potter’s Inn works with several people who we have trained and worked along side of throughout the world. Our adjunct staff serves along side of us in various capacities.
